Tan Yamanouchi’s First Product as an Architect
Featured in Casa Brutus “100 Masterpiece Homes to See in Your Lifetime” (April 2025 Issue)
We are delighted to share that A Cat Tree Wall by 懐石 (KAISEKI),
Tan Yamanouchi’s first-ever product design as an architect,
has been featured in the April 2025 issue of Casa Brutus,
one of Japan’s leading architecture and design magazines,
in their special feature “100 Masterpiece Homes to See in Your Lifetime.”
The photo shoot took place at A Cat Tree House in Kamakura,
Tan Yamanouchi’s own residence and atelier.
The imagery captures cats lounging naturally and comfortably—
a heartwarming testament to how the design has been genuinely embraced by its feline users.
It beautifully conveys the thoughtfulness and care embedded in the piece.
Our client, Petline Co., Ltd., has received an outpouring of positive feedback from cat lovers across Japan.
We at Tan Yamanouchi & AWGL are deeply grateful and moved to see Tan Yamanouchi’s affection for cats resonate with so many.
Please feel free to pick up a copy at your local bookstore and take a look.
